CHORION: has named Robert Traub vice president of Licensing, Americas. The post went into effect Aug. 4. He replaces Pamela Ferris-Mueller. In his new role, Traub is in charge of all aspects of licensing and merchandising campaigns for Chorion’s properties in the U.S., Canada and Latin America, including Mr. Men and Little Miss, The World of Eric Carle, Olivia, Paddington and Trucktown. Previously, he was senior vice president, global retail sales and marketing development for Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products. ABC Ads Take Over TV Guide for Fall Preview

In an unprecedented promotional print stunt, ABC Television is sponsoring TV Guide’s Aug. 25 fall programming preview issue.

The network will also include a DVD featuring the pilot episodes of its Wednesday primetime shows, “Private Practice,” “Pushing Daisies” and “Dirty, Sexy Money,” with newsstand copies of the magazine in New York and Los Angeles. The issue hits newsstands on Thursday.
